What is a Keyword Search Feed?
Traditionally the feed author controls the feed topic. In order to provide broad coverage many feed authors began offering numerous feeds, a good example of this strategy can be seen at the Organic Broadcast Project > Syndicate. While increasing the number of available feeds gives your more options, it does not give you control.
A keyword search feed gives you direct control of its content. By varying your search term you will also vary your results.
Here is a basic example of what can be accomplished using keyword search feeds.
A New York Arts/Entertainment Website
While the Organic Broadcast Project > Syndicate area offers many feeds, including both an Entertainment and New York, New York feed, the do not offer a feed that combines both topics.
We can overcome this limitation through the use of keyword search feeds. Using Feed Findings you can easily combine multiple traditional feeds (Atom, RDF or RSS) into a single "custom" keyword search feed. Because the goal is to create a New York Arts/Entertainment feed the Entertainment feed and http://broadcast.organicframework.com/p/337.xml>New York, NY feeds will be used.
The resulting keyword search feed is:
